F&LC Environmental Policy
Under our VISION of “Discovering new tastiness, Sharing moments of joy.”, our group aims to achieve sustainable society and corporate growth, protect the blue sea and green earth, and treasure the blessings of food that will continue into the future. To that end, we recognize that climate change, environmental pollution, resource and water depletion, and biodiversity loss are important issues both in the world and in the management of our group, and we will formulate an environmental policy and act to prevent them.
Basic Policy
(1) Compliance with Laws and Regulations
We will comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and ordinances in the countries and regions in which we conduct business.
(2) Response to Climate Change
We will strive to prevent global warming by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our business activities, using renewable energy sources, and improving the efficiency of our energy usage.
(3) Reducing Environmental Impact and Pollution
We will work to reduce environmental impact and pollution through our business activities.
(4) Waste Reduction and Efficient Resource Use
We will work to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste. We will also work to improve the efficiency of resource usage, promote the shift to packaging and containers made from environmentally friendly materials, and work to promote a recycling-oriented society.
(5) Conservation of Water Resources
We will strive to protect the water environment. We will also promote the efficient use of water resources and take measures such as proper wastewater treatment to prevent water and soil pollution.
(6) Addressing Biodiversity
We recognize the impact of our business activities on ecosystems, take into consideration biodiversity and ecosystems, and work to maintain and conserve them while minimizing the impact.
Scope of Application
This policy applies to all officers and employees of our Group (officers and employees include directors and employees (including contract employees, part-time employees, employees employed for a fixed term, and dispatched employees) of our Group companies (including overseas companies)). hereinafter referred to as “officers and employees”.
We will also encourage all of our group’s business partners to understand and support this policy.
Promotion Structure
To promote this policy, the Sustainability Promotion Committee, chaired by the President and CEO, will work with each department to check the progress and implementation of initiatives and compliance with this policy. The Sustainability Promotion Committee will also periodically report its findings to the Board of Directors, which will oversee the same.
Education and Awareness
We will provide education and awareness-raising activities to ensure that our executives and employees understand, accept and implement this policy and other environmental policies. We will also promote awareness-raising activities for our business partners regarding this policy.
Monitoring and Information Disclosure
We will continuously monitor compliance with this policy and disclose the results on our group website, etc.
The establishment and revision of this policy will be subject to approval and resolution by the Board of Directors.
