In 2015, he was appointed head of Sushiro, the largest kaiten sushi restaurant in Japan, and has since brushed up on the concept of Sushiro. He has demonstrated his skill in products and promotions, further pulling the chain ahead of its competitors. He is also keen to reform the structure of the business, and was one of the first to develop Sugidama, a downtown sushi izakaya restaurant, separate from the suburban roadside Sushiro. There are already over 40 stores in operation. He also acquired the long-established sushi restaurant Kyotaru to strengthen its takeout specialty stores, and has also begun reforming Kyotaru’s kaiten sushi restaurant Kaisen Misakiko. He is making his presence felt as a revolutionary in the sushi industry.
